METHUEN — Zoning Board hears withdrawal in Central Business District setback case. Attorney Anthony Copani withdrew the variance application for Yoly Meran's 16-by-16-foot addition at 1 River Place after being retained only three hours before the May 28 hearing. The board unanimously approved the withdrawal without prejudice, allowing the applicant to reapply.
The addition was already under construction without permits and violated both side and rear setback requirements in the Central Business District zone.
