Methuen Opens Early In-Person Voting for 2026 State Primary
Methuen voters will be able to cast ballots in person starting August 22 as the city finalizes its plans for the 2026 State Primary, while City Hall also opened enrollment for a new curbside composting program with Black Earth Compost.
TOWN HALL
Registered Methuen voters can vote early in person from August 22 through 28 at Sanborn Hall ahead of the 2026 State Primary, the city announced. Residents who prefer to vote by mail must apply by August 25 at 5 p.m.; vote-by-mail applications for both the primary and the state election have been arriving in mailboxes in recent days.
The City of Methuen has also opened preregistration for a new curbside composting program in partnership with Black Earth Compost, giving residents an option to cut down on household waste headed to the trash. The city is billing the program as an easy way for households to divert food scraps and other compostable material.
