Mail Ballot Applications Land in Methuen Mailboxes for 2026 Elections
Vote-by-mail applications for the 2026 State Primary and State Election began arriving in Methuen mailboxes this week, giving registered voters a postage-paid way to request a ballot for one or both contests without visiting Sanborn Hall in person.
TOWN HALL
The city said eligible voters can now use the postage-paid application mailed to their homes to request a mail ballot for either the State Primary, the State Election, or both. The mailing follows the city's announcement of an in-person early voting window at Sanborn Hall from August 22 through 28, a story the town's News Flash also covered earlier this week; the deadline to apply for a mail ballot for the primary falls August 25 at 5 p.m.
Separately, the Wednesday, August 12 Licensing Board meeting has been cancelled, according to the city's public meeting calendar.
COMING UP
The City Council holds its regular meeting Monday, August 10, with the Cultural Council also meeting that evening. The Community Development Board meets Wednesday, August 12. Jr. Celtics Academy runs a youth summer basketball camp at Phillips Academy in Andover from Monday, August 10 through Friday, August 14, with a second session the following week.
