Licensing Board · Meeting of April 8, 2026
Methuen Licensing Board approves three applications, rejects contentious dealership proposal. Chairman Bryan Chase and Commissioners Ana Camargo and Fisher unanimously approved a One-Day Alcohol license for Simply Elegant Catering's Methuen 300 event on May 9 at the Music Hall (provisional pending inspections), a Class II Auto Dealers license for Gary Martinez at 447 Prospect Street, and a license transfer to Mohammad Al Omari for Astra Motors at 670 Lowell Street. The board unanimously rejected Keith Harley's application for KMH Sales, LLC at 8 Marshall Street after resident Connie Stella testified about unregistered vehicles and off-hours activity in a residential zone.
Todd Dow and Matthew Goodfriend presented plans for seasonal outdoor seating at the Sweetheart Inn within the existing licensed pavilion; the board confirmed the space is authorized for alcoholic beverages.
