Methuen approves license transfers for two retailers and 3 a.m. closing option. Chairman Bryan Chase and Commissioner Ana Camargo voted unanimously to approve amendments to Prospect Liquors LLC at 441 Prospect Street involving manager changes and premises alterations adding 2,000 square feet of retail space. The board also unanimously approved reciprocal license transfers between AK Convenience Inc. and Narayan Muni Store LLC that relocate an all-alcohol license to 155 Lowell Street, a move the board determined serves the public need given a competing neighborhood market 700 feet away.
The board further decided to opt into state legislation allowing on-premise establishments to remain open until 3 a.m. through July 31.
