Licensing Board approves American Legion Post 122 alcohol license application.
Licensing Board · Meeting of February 11, 2026
METHUEN — The Methuen Licensing Board approved a new Club, All Alcohol license for American Legion Post 122 at 190 Broadway after a management transition created a lapse in state renewal. Chairman Bryan Chase, Esq., Commissioner Larry Giordano, and Commissioner Ana Camargo voted 2-1 (with Camargo abstaining) to grant the application. The Post had been closed over a month after discovering it lacked a valid state liquor license for calendar year 2025, though it held a city renewal for that year.
Chairman Chase stated licensees bear sole responsibility for ensuring dual renewal with both the city and the state Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission, and suggested the organization rely on its retained legal counsel. The board directed future correspondence to the Post's P.O. Box as requested by Manager Cynthia Donahue.
