Council on Aging approves March minutes; quorum absent for financial vote.

Methuen Council on Aging approves prior minutes without full quorum present. Chair Maureen Sharrock gaveled the April 24 meeting at 10:11 a.m.; the board voted unanimously to accept March minutes but could not formally action the financial report. Executive Director Susan Riccio reported an April Jazz Group event drew strong attendance while describing plans for May 14's "Older Americans Month" showcase from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., featuring ceramic and quilting classes, jewelry sales, and the Happy Hearts Chorus at 1 p.m.
Riccio has invited the Governor, Ms. Lipson from the Executive Office of Elder Affairs, and Mayor D.J. Beauregard to opening ceremonies.
The board authorized landscaping contractor Belko to perform property maintenance including weed removal and stone-bed preparation.
