Conservation Commission elects Di Zazzo chair, issues tree-removal determination.

Methuen Conservation Commission elects new leadership and continues enforcement oversight. Dave Di Zazzo was unanimously elected Chair, with Cara Seaman named Vice Chair. The Commission issued a Negative 2 and Negative 3 Determination for Gene Joly's proposed removal of 8-10 hazardous trees at Preserve at Emerald Pines, with work to occur in two phases under six special conditions.

The Commission also ratified an Emergency Certification for tree removal at 60 Cornelie Road, issued a Certificate of Compliance for Phase 1 of a transmission-line soil-boring project, and unanimously approved a request asking City Council and the Mayor to prohibit municipal use of anticoagulant rodenticides and pursue Commonwealth restrictions on such substances.
