METHUEN — City Council fills fire and veterans services positions. The Methuen City Council unanimously approved three appointments to fire and veterans services on July 6, filling budgeted vacancies described as contractual obligations by Assistant Fire Chief Daniel Donahue. Lieutenant Michael Ferris was promoted to Deputy Chief and Firefighter Eric Moreau to Lieutenant; both are the top candidates on their respective promotional lists.
Jordan Normandia was appointed Veterans Service Officer; the former Marine Corps veteran brings prior municipal and military experience to the role, though his appointment from the mayor's office drew council discussion before unanimous approval.
